We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden edge is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Historic Jeddah is an old quarter with stone and timber buildings in the traditional roshan style and narrow historic lanes, where mattresses face unique challenges. Old floors of terrazzo and aged ceramic are easily stained by cooking grease rising from the streets below, and fine black road dust settles on every surface. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale from old mineral-heavy water, and old pipework leaves rust marks. Cleaning targets removal of these deep old deposits from inside the mattress fill.
Carpets and curtains here absorb fine black dust from the main roads far more easily than those in new districts, and mattresses accumulate the same dust much faster. For the method itself, see our guide to mattress cleaning.
Terrazzo and old ceramic are worn smooth from long use, so cooking grease that rises from the street below sticks easily. Carpets on these aged floors trap cooking grease and fine black dust, and mattresses above absorb the same airborne dust.
Al Balad and its surrounding quarters sit on main roads with heavy traffic, so fine black dust enters homes directly. Narrow lanes trap the air making dust concentrate, and mattresses here collect this dust far faster than those in newer quieter districts.
Scale on old taps and around drains means old hard water has been flowing for decades. Rust marks from old pipework appear in basins, and bathroom moisture rises through thin walls into bedrooms and mattresses alike.
A UNESCO World Heritage old town with merchant houses built between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries, four close-packed historic quarters with narrow lanes, mixing housing and traditional trade throughout dense streets.
Mattresses in Al Balad are usually old too, and the cover fabric may be thin from long use, so we inspect cover and seams carefully.
Deep dry vacuuming targets removal of the fine black dust packed into the fill from many years, strong vacuuming is needed.
Stains from grease and black dust and moisture together need careful treatment, using a product that removes cooking grease without harming the old fill.
Surface and side cleaning covers all faces but we focus on edges where salt deposits and grease accumulate most.
Wet extraction removes very dirty water heavy with black dust and grease, the colour will be dark brown or black because the dust and grease run deep.
Sanitising and airing matter greatly because moisture and grease together cause strong stale smells, and extra drying is necessary in humid old houses.
A quilted cotton cover, a knitted stretch cover and a synthetic surface do not take the same heat or solution.
Before any water.
A sweat stain is worked differently from a spilled drink or a child's accident.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres, by the method that suits the mattress, and lift the residue to the surface, worked across the top, the sides and the underside in turn.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the mattress with you before the team leaves.
Heritage flats and stone houses between Al Shafii Mosque and Souk Al Alawi in the heart of Al Balad are reached through narrow lanes and old passages connecting to these landmarks, and work here demands special care with the old structure and antique floor surfaces.
Testing the solution on a hidden edge is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and wet-extraction machines come with the team.
If what you have is a bed-bug problem rather than a dirty mattress, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Central Jeddah is the old heart of the city: Al Balad with its coral stone houses, and the dense apartment quarters around it with shops beneath the flats. Floors here are often terrazzo or older ceramic tile, worn smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that drifts up from the street. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale on taps and around drains, and pipework in the older blocks leaves rust marks in basins. Rugs and curtains take on the fine black dust of the main roads, so they need washing more often than elsewhere.
We provide these in Historic Jeddah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
