We treat the incense, not mask it
Bakhoor residue is cleaned out of the seating and curtains and off the walls, so fresh oud is not sitting on months of old smoke.

Mareekh is a small residential district in east Jeddah at the foot of the Mareekh Mountains and close to Wadi Al Qaws, surrounded by open ground and hills. The air here is drier than on the coast, and the dust is coarser and paler, settling on every surface overnight. Gravel and sand enter from the open land with feet, scratching floors before you have finished washing them.
Dry air leaves dust coarser, paler and more invasive, slipping under doors and settling in furniture, and floors carry gravel and sand from the mountains. For the method itself, see the full majlis and diwaniya cleaning page.
Dry air, open ground and surrounding hills mean coarse, light dust slipping under doors and windows all night long. Hours after cleaning, dust covers furniture and floors again. A new majlis looks aged within weeks.
Coarse sand and gravel from hills and valleys enter on feet from the street. Floors need deep vacuuming before any mopping, and the grit scratches ceramic and marble quickly.
Roof water tanks leave mineral deposits in the supply, so washing leaves grey sediment on surfaces, baths and mirrors. Water alone leaves the residue in a new layer.

High ceilings and corners gather coarse dry dust from open ground and mountains. We clean these carefully without dropping dust onto furniture, using a strong vacuum that collects the dust.
Surfaces and heavy furniture trap both dust and gravel. We dry after cleaning in a way that prevents dust from returning to the surface quickly.
Glass and mirrors carry a layer of dust and mineral sediment. We use strong cleaner that cuts through the layer and mineral deposits without scratching glass.
Ceramic floors need deep vacuuming before mopping because gravel scratches tile. After vacuuming, we mop with water that lifts remaining dust.
The guest bathroom accumulates dust and mineral deposits from water. We treat tiles, fixtures and mirrors to remove mineral scale without leaving residue.
Ventilation matters because dry dust settles in corners and furniture. We open windows and doors before and during cleaning to clear dust-laden air.
Seating, carpet, curtains and surfaces, before anything starts, so we agree the scope and what the price covers.
Majlis seating and curtains vary from cotton to velvet and heavy weaves, and they do not take the same heat or product.
Before any water, on the seating and the carpet both.
Gahwa, cardamom and food are not one problem.
We choose the method after seeing each piece, loosen what has bound into the seating and carpet, and extraction pulls it straight back out with the water, in one pass, so nothing is left soaking in the foam.
We go back through the room with you.

We test the fabric on a hidden spot before we clean it.
The company runs several teams, and we send a team rather than one person.
If the seating needs reupholstering rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is small enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Mareekh too, and more than one can share a single visit.
