We test before we clean
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Nuzhah is a mixed district in northern Jeddah, close to Mall of Arabia and King Fahd Road which carries very heavy traffic all day long. Flats above shops and restaurants hold cooking smell and fine dust from the roads, and windows opening directly onto this main road let in fine black particulates from vehicle exhausts. Curtains here have to cope with both the cooking oils rising from below and the traffic soot and emissions from outside at the same time, a double load that demands different treatment than either problem alone would.
Curtains here collect a combination of both grease fumes from the shops below and black soot from the vehicle exhausts outside, which is a more complex problem than either one presents in isolation. For the method itself, see our curtain cleaning service in detail.
King Fahd Road carries heavy traffic all day, and vehicle exhaust particulates and fine road dust deposit a black layer on every open window. Curtains beside these windows are noticeably darker than those in interior flats, and if any grease from cooking already coats the fabric, the black dust sticks to it instantly and becomes very hard to remove.
Restaurants and food shops on the ground floor release cooking vapours and oil aerosols constantly, which rise up through the building and settle on curtains in the flats above. Grease does not rinse away with ordinary water, it makes the fabric look heavy and dark even if brand new, and once it has mixed with road dust it becomes a double contamination that needs specialised treatment.
Flats here often smell of a mixture of cooking and exhaust fumes together, and curtains are the primary trap for these combined odours. Cleaning has to address grease removal and emission residue at the same time, not one or the other, and then ventilation to clear the layered smell.
The district spreads between Madinah Road and Prince Majid Road with King Fahd Road running through it, and Sultan bin Salman Street is its busy commercial spine lined with shops, restaurants, parked cars and constant traffic noise.
Sheer fabrics need gentler treatment than heavy ones because black dust shows on them more, and strong solutions may weaken the weave further.
Careful removal of hardware is important because grease and emissions can weaken or corrode fixtures, making them fragile.
Strong dry vacuum and shake-out first removes the loose black dust before applying oil-cutting solutions to attack the deeper contamination.
Black marks and darkened edges need special treatment designed to remove both oil residue and particulate soot at the same time.
Which method we use depends on the fabric type and how heavy the grease and soot buildup is, so we assess during inspection and adjust strength accordingly.
Drying needs very strong ventilation to remove both moisture and the layered odours trapped in the fabric from cooking and traffic combined.
Cotton, linen, velvet, blackout weave and synthetic sheers do not take the same heat or the same solution.
Before any water.
A water spot at the hem is not treated like a greasy film near a kitchen.
We loosen what has bonded inside the fibres across the full panel, both faces and top to hem, with the method that suits the fabric, while the curtains stay on the rail so the drape is not disturbed.
The loosened dirt and water are pulled back out in the same pass.
We go over the panels with you before the team leaves.
Close to Mall of Arabia and the Sixtieth Street junction, you reach the flats and shops that make up Al Nuzhah, which runs between King Fahd Road and Prince Majid Road. Sultan bin Salman Street's heavy commercial traffic and constant vehicle emissions mean every window facing the street gets a daily coat of fine black dust and exhaust particulates that settle onto the curtains.
Testing the solution on a hidden fold is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
We send a team, not a single worker.
The cleaning and extraction machines come with the team.
If a panel needs a tailor rather than a clean, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Central Jeddah is the old heart of the city: Al Balad with its coral stone houses, and the dense apartment quarters around it with shops beneath the flats. Floors here are often terrazzo or older ceramic tile, worn smooth and easily stained by cooking grease that drifts up from the street. Older kitchens and bathrooms carry heavy scale on taps and around drains, and pipework in the older blocks leaves rust marks in basins. Rugs and curtains take on the fine black dust of the main roads, so they need washing more often than elsewhere.
We provide these in Al Nuzhah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
