The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Prince Fawaz South is close to the Haramain Road and heavy goods routes. The dust here is black, thick and oily diesel soot, completely different from dust in districts away from the roads. Chandeliers blacken quickly and the cleaning must target this heavy soot specifically, not just treat it as ordinary dust.
Diesel soot from heavy trucks leaves black deposits on clear crystal, and wiping it spreads it around rather than removing it cleanly. For the method itself, see the full chandelier cleaning page.
Prince Fawaz South sits between heavy freight routes where black soot mixes with dust and bonds strongly to surfaces. This is not light desert dust but burned oil particles that coat crystal and turn it grey-black. Cleaning it requires specialist soaking, not just a quick wipe that spreads it around.
Proximity to the sea adds humidity, and dry soot becomes sticky when it absorbs moisture. The mixture blocks light completely and dims the chandelier. Dismantling and separate washing is the only way to remove this hybrid residue.
Older low rise housing here has plain cement or older ceramic floors that blacken quickly from soot tracking. The team must take care during access and work around the chandelier to avoid leaving soot marks on freshly cleaned floors.
A densely built residential extension near the Haramain Road and Jeddah Makkah Expressway, crossed by an open stormwater channel, with apartment blocks, villas, a mosque, hospital and secondary school.
Inspection focuses on soot buildup and oily deposits, which are different from ordinary dust and need different assessment.
Power must be cut and the area must be completely dry before restoration in an environment near the coast with high ambient humidity.
Photography before dismantling preserves the layout because oily soot may make some wires hard to see beneath the film.
Each piece must be washed separately using specialist diesel soot soaking, not general dust cleaner.
Frame and arms may be black with accumulated soot and need a soft brush and patience to clear without scratching.
Drying must be fast because coastal moisture will re-wet cleaned soot before drying is complete if not done quickly.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
Prince Fawaz South sits about 1 km from Prince Fawaz North and about 1 km from Al Shifa.

We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Prince Fawaz South too, and more than one can share a single visit.
