The access to reach it safely
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.

Al Shuwaidi is a new district in north Jeddah within the Obhur Al Shamaliyah subdivisions, with modern villas on newly released land and construction happening around every corner. Modern chandeliers collect fine coastal sand and salt spray from sea air. The district is so recent that foundations, ceilings and electrics have not yet settled, and streets may change route between visits.
Villas here are the newest build and ceilings are very high with wide open spaces. Sand and salt enter quickly from the garden and courtyard and from ongoing construction around the district. For the method itself, see what chandelier cleaning involves.
Empty plots and active building sites in every direction mean wind carries dust, gravel and construction debris constantly. New chandeliers collect this dust very quickly, and an open window means sand enters the home with ease.
The villas are extremely recent and the structure, ceiling and electrics are all brand new. Switches may not be labelled and the ceiling may be designed in an unusual way. We need to ask about everything and assume nothing.
The district is so new that routes change and house numbers may be delayed or revised. Google Maps may be outdated and an address may not be precise. We need accurate information and clear landmarks from the householder.
A new coastal urban extension within Obhur Al Shamaliyah subdivisions, mostly newly released residential land plots, served by main roads linking to Jeddah Madinah Road and King Abdulaziz Road.
A brand new villa chandelier may be modern European crystal or contemporary brass, and ceiling is new and high: we inspect from below first and assume nothing.
New villas have secure stairs and slippery marble floors: we place protective mats under the ladder base and isolate the correct circuit carefully.
We photograph from multiple angles and map the layout precisely, especially if crystals are numerous or arms are complex.
Pieces soak in warm water and mild soap, and salt and sand may be deep so we soak a little longer.
Frame and arms clean carefully and we confirm salt and sand are gone from every crevice before drying.
We reassemble precisely by photograph, test each bulb, wait at least two hours, and recommend a second clean after three months.
The circuit is switched off before anything is touched, and warm bulbs are given time to cool.
We check how it is built, which crystals are loose, and how it comes apart before removing a thing.
The area under the fixture is covered before we start, so a dropped crystal lands soft and nothing marks the floor or table below.
Where the piece allows, crystals come off and are washed and dried individually.
With the crystals off or aside, the frame, arms, bulb holders and ceiling mount are wiped down, since that is where film and webs hide behind the glass.
Every crystal goes back to its place, the fixture is switched on and checked, and we walk the room with you.
New development: ongoing construction and vacant plots between the homes
A new development district means ongoing construction nearby may disrupt work or raise dust suddenly. We need flexibility in scheduling and may suggest rescheduling if building is very close.
A crystal fixture over a stairwell is not a job for a kitchen stool.
We send a team, not one person, so crystals come off, get washed and go back in one visit, without a lone worker hurrying a fragile piece to finish before dark.
Whether crystals come off or are cleaned in place depends on how the fixture is built.
Nothing is done until the fixture is back together, switched on, and you have seen it throw its light.
Photographs from real jobs carried out by the crew.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until the fixture is reassembled, lit, and you have seen it for yourself.
Al Shuwaidi sits between Jeddah Madinah Road and King Abdulaziz Road, with Abhor Park lying nearby. Access from the main roads is clear, and locating the address is easier if you give us the plot number and the nearest main road.
We provide these in Al Shuwaidi too, and more than one can share a single visit.
