We test before we clean
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Taawun is a new development on the southern fringe of Jeddah near Al Khumrah, with new housing subdivisions and vacant land between the homes. Situated between the sea and the heavy goods roads, the dust here is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit that clings to carpet in the new homes, and coastal humidity adds mildew to bathrooms.
Carpet in the new Al Taawun housing schemes becomes soiled quickly with black diesel soot carried from the heavy goods roads and the adjacent open land. For the method itself, see our guide to carpet and rug cleaning.
Al Taawun sits between the sea and roads heavy with trucks, and vacant land around it raises dust into the air. The dust is darker and oilier than in north Jeddah, diesel soot and workshop grit that sticks to new carpet and is hard to remove.
The new Al Taawun housing scheme has scattered buildings separated by open land, and drainage and water systems are still being completed. Water pools in foundations and new ceramic floors, and carpet above absorbs rising dampness.
Al Taawun is close to the sea, and high coastal humidity penetrates new structures and dampens bathrooms and kitchens. New homes have not yet completed ventilation, so carpet absorbs moisture rapidly and develops mildew quickly.
A district on the southern edge of Jeddah east of Al Khumrah, along the Jeddah to Al Laith road, with new housing subdivisions including the Ministry of Housing scheme, vacant plots and Al Hussein ibn Ali Street.
Sorting by fibre type in Al Taawun is essential because new schemes hold diverse new carpet, and black soot and humidity affect each type distinctly.
Deep dry vacuuming is critical here because diesel soot settles deep in new fibres and surface vacuuming is insufficient.
Soot, grease and moisture stains need separate pre-treatment before general washing.
Fibre type varies so wool and silk are delicate whilst blends and synthetics tolerate heat and dampness better. Temperature is set per carpet type.
Fitted carpet in new homes may need initial cleaning before full occupation because it may carry construction dust.
Wet extraction and drying need special care because of coastal humidity and new construction that has not yet completed ventilation.
Wool, synthetic and silk-blends do not take the same heat or the same material.
Before any water.
An oil stain is not treated like a juice stain.
Hot water loosens what is bound in the pile and the extractor pulls it straight back out with the water, together, so nothing is left sitting in the base.
The borders and fringe are done by hand, where machines skip and where wear shows first, so the whole rug looks even.
The carpet is left slightly damp, not wet.
Al Taawun lies on Al Laith Road and Al Hussein ibn Ali Street, so homes are accessed from these main roads. Work is coordinated with the ongoing development of the new infrastructure and the adjacent open land.

The company runs a large workforce, and we send a team rather than one worker.
The deep vacuum and extraction machines are ours and arrive with the team.
If a rug needs repair or re-fringing rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think.
South Jeddah runs from the port and the industrial city down towards Al Khumrah, and homes here sit between the sea and the heavy goods roads. The dust is darker and oilier than in the north, a mix of diesel soot and workshop grit, and it clings to net curtains, window sills and the tops of kitchen cupboards. Floors in the older low rise housing are often plain cement or ceramic tile that darkens where soot is walked in. Humidity from the coast adds mildew in bathrooms and a musty smell in stored fabrics.
We provide these in Al Taawun too, and more than one can share a single visit.
