We test before we clean
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Riyadh is a relatively recent residential district in Taibah sub-municipality east of Jeddah toward Asfan, set far from the coast and close to hills and open ground. The air here is dry and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It creeps under doors and settles on everything overnight, making carpet far heavier with embedded grit than any coastal neighbourhood sees.
Dry gritty dust enters homes readily under doors and windows, making carpet look soiled faster despite the absence of coastal salt and spray. For the method itself, see how we approach carpet and rug cleaning.
East Jeddah borders open ground and hills, so the air is dry and the dust is sharp and angular. This grit enters homes under doors and through window gaps and lands on carpet, marble and tile. Fine carpet pile looks visibly soiled quickly, and the small sharp particles scratch marble and ceramic floors if they are mopped instead of swept first.
Roof water tanks in east Jeddah carry grey mineral sediment. When this water is used for cleaning or watering nearby plants, it leaves marks on carpet, curtains and basins. These deposits look like permanent grey stains if not treated with a descaling agent designed to dissolve mineral buildup.
Dry dust does not stay airborne like humid coastal dust, it falls directly onto surfaces. Carpet, curtains, mattresses and sofas grow much heavier because dust settles and does not wash away with moisture. Daily cleaning routines must focus on removing dust from every surface before deeper cleaning can begin.
The district sits east of Jeddah toward Asfan near the University of Jeddah road, with modern residential housing in an open semi-rural setting away from the coast, and educational facilities including the university stadium.
Carpet in Al Riyadh usually has one or two fibre types per home, but the coarse dry dust load means sorting by type ensures fibre safety during washing.
Deep dry vacuuming removes all sand, grit and sharp dust from the pile base before any washing method is applied to the carpet.
Stains from mineral scale, sediment deposits and hardened dust are treated individually before the full wash to avoid setting them deeper into the pile.
Washing method depends on the fibre type, with commercial pile taking harsher treatment than delicate fine rugs.
Fitted carpet in hallways and entry points stays in place and is cleaned with complete removal of dust sediment trapped in the base.
Wet extraction and drying may be faster in east Jeddah because the air is dry, but sealed homes may need extra ventilation or dehumidification to finish drying.
Wool, synthetic and silk-blends do not take the same heat or the same material.
Before any water.
An oil stain is not treated like a juice stain.
Hot water loosens what is bound in the pile and the extractor pulls it straight back out with the water, together, so nothing is left sitting in the base.
The borders and fringe are done by hand, where machines skip and where wear shows first, so the whole rug looks even.
The carpet is left slightly damp, not wet.
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
The company runs a large workforce, and we send a team rather than one worker.
The deep vacuum and extraction machines are ours and arrive with the team.
If a rug needs repair or re-fringing rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Riyadh too, and more than one can share a single visit.
