We test before we clean
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Rawasi is a mixed residential district in east Jeddah, close to Mareekh Mountains, with shops at street level and homes above them. The air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast, so carpet here carries dense grains of desert dust that scratch the pile when walked on. Moisture and grease from the shops below also rise into the upper flats.
Carpet in Al Rawasi accumulates coarse desert grains that work in under doors and windows; ordinary vacuuming does not extract them fully, only deep repeated vacuuming removes them. For the method itself, see our guide to carpet and rug cleaning.
The dry air in east Jeddah carries coarse desert grains, paler than coastal dust, which slip under doors and windows and settle deep in the pile. The larger particles scratch the fibres with every footstep, so carpet here wears faster than in the cooler, damper quarters.
Ground floor shops and stores send moisture and cooking vapours up into the flats above. Carpet in these flats absorbs this dampness from below, and ventilation is poor in mixed districts, so drying after cleaning takes longer and requires active air movement.
Ceramic tile in apartment areas is scratched by desert grit unless swept before mopping. Roof tank water leaves grey sediment deposits in basins and on floor surfaces, and carpet in contact with these floors absorbs the mineral salts from below.
A residential district in east Jeddah within the built up area extending eastward towards the hills and valleys, with relatively newer residential streets and simple housing character alongside commercial activity.
Sorting by fibre type here is essential because mixed districts hold a variety of housing, and some carpet is exposed to both oil and dust whilst other carpet bears only grit.
Deep dry vacuuming is critical in Al Rawasi because desert grains settle deep in the pile, and surface vacuuming leaves most of the grit in the base undisturbed.
Compound stains of oil and dust need staged treatment with separate materials applied in precise sequence to lift both.
Fibre types vary so wool is sensitive to heat whilst blends and synthetics tolerate it. Washing temperature is matched to each carpet individually.
Fitted carpet in shared stairs and landings is cleaned in place because removal disrupts the other residents.
Wet extraction and drying here need special care because trapped moisture in the flats slows evaporation, and fans become essential to manage humidity.
Wool, synthetic and silk-blends do not take the same heat or the same material.
Before any water.
An oil stain is not treated like a juice stain.
Hot water loosens what is bound in the pile and the extractor pulls it straight back out with the water, together, so nothing is left sitting in the base.
The borders and fringe are done by hand, where machines skip and where wear shows first, so the whole rug looks even.
The carpet is left slightly damp, not wet.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
Mixed means the carpet faces two types of soiling at once: coarse desert dust from the dry exterior air, and moisture and grease vapours rising from shops at street level. Treatment must address both together, not one after the other.
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
The company runs a large workforce, and we send a team rather than one worker.
The deep vacuum and extraction machines are ours and arrive with the team.
If a rug needs repair or re-fringing rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Rawasi too, and more than one can share a single visit.
