We test before we clean
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Al Murjan is a small coastal district on the north corniche of west Jeddah where villas and low-rise flats face the water. Salt air settles on every surface: windows, curtains, and carpet alike. High humidity year round keeps fibres slightly damp so odours set faster and dust traps longer. Carpet on the coast faces a different set of challenges than carpet in any inland neighbourhood, and the work itself changes.
Salt air deposits a mineral film on glass and fabric daily, and the year-round humidity keeps carpet and curtains slightly damp so odours and dust stay trapped longer than in drier neighbourhoods. For the method itself, see how we approach carpet and rug cleaning.
Salt particles from the sea settle on everything near the water. Curtains and carpet near windows carry mineral deposits that harden the fabric and accelerate wear of the fibres if left untreated. Salt-targeted chemistry is essential before hot extraction.
The coast is damp year round, and humidity penetrates walls and frames. Carpet stays slightly moist, so odours set and dust mites thrive. Mustiness develops in a few weeks without heat and air movement. Standard drying is not enough.
After washing, carpet dries slowly in the damp coastal air. Incomplete drying means odours and mildew return within days. Strong airflow and directed heat are non-negotiable for coastal carpet, or the job fails.
A small coastal district on the north corniche of west Jeddah between King Abdulaziz Road and the sea, west of Al Basatin, low-density villas, apartment buildings and gated compounds with waterfront views.
Coastal carpet carries salt and moisture, so sorting identifies salt-deposit levels and proximity to sea views. Carpet nearest the water needs more aggressive chemistry.
Deep dry vacuuming reaches salt and mineral particles lodged in the pile base before washing, as salt deposits are heavier and more adhesive than ordinary dust.
Salt deposits and marine odours are pre-treated with chemistry that dissolves salt and breaks odour molecules before general washing.
Washing method uses heat and strong alkali to dissolve salt, kill odour-causing bacteria, and remove humidity-trapped contaminants that ordinary washing leaves behind.
Fitted carpet facing the sea view is cleaned in place with salt-protective chemistry and careful moisture management to prevent salt staining the subfloor.
Wet extraction and drying demand extended time and powerful airflow to ensure complete salt and moisture removal, or coastal humidity will re-establish odours within days.
Wool, synthetic and silk-blends do not take the same heat or the same material.
Before any water.
An oil stain is not treated like a juice stain.
Hot water loosens what is bound in the pile and the extractor pulls it straight back out with the water, together, so nothing is left sitting in the base.
The borders and fringe are done by hand, where machines skip and where wear shows first, so the whole rug looks even.
The carpet is left slightly damp, not wet.

The company runs a large workforce, and we send a team rather than one worker.
The deep vacuum and extraction machines are ours and arrive with the team.
If a rug needs repair or re-fringing rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think.
West Jeddah faces the sea along the Corniche, and the flats and towers along it live with salt in the air all year. Salt settles on glass as a haze that plain water spreads rather than removes, and it works into balcony railings, outdoor fabric and the metal of window frames. Indoors, humidity keeps carpets and curtains slightly damp, so they hold odours and dust longer than in drier districts, and bathroom grout and shower glass show scale quickly. Wooden floors and doors swell a little in the wetter months.
We provide these in Al Murjan too, and more than one can share a single visit.
