The gear reaches the scale
Proper descalers, matched to each surface, are what move mineral off glass and out of grout.

Al Mawaddah is a mixed residential quarter in east Jeddah, shops below and homes above, sitting inland from the sea and close to valley and hill terrain. The air is drier than the coast but the dust is coarser and darker, and because the district is tightly built, bathrooms trap humidity despite lower coastal moisture. A bathroom between shops and flats collects dust that sticks to damp surfaces and moisture that has nowhere to escape.
Bathrooms here tend to accumulate grey film in basins from roof tank sediment mixed with the coarse dry dust of the inland air settling into water droplets. For the method itself, see our guide to bathroom cleaning.
The air is relatively dry but dust here is coarse and dark from ground and nearby workshops. When it meets water it sticks and forms a grey film difficult to wipe away. Daily cleaning does not dislodge it because moisture underneath holds it fast to the surface.
Shops on the ground floor pull in dust and damp; housing stacked above needs deep cleaning because ventilation is weak and humidity cannot escape. The bathroom becomes a place where everything settles and stays.
Moisture in a flat surrounded by other flats and shops stays trapped in grout lines where no moving air dries it. Mould breeds undisturbed. Each joint must soak until descaler penetrates the black crust, then be cleaned gently according to grout type.
Al Mawaddah sits near the University of Jeddah Road and Wadi Al Ghawla in an area of residential density where coarse ground dust settles on wet surfaces and roof tank sediment films basins.
Surfaces here are mixed between simple ceramic and possibly terrazzo flooring. We test each before choosing the product suited to that material type.
Taps here are usually basic fixtures. Scale is light to moderate from hard water and dust mixed into water spots.
Black grout here comes from trapped humidity with no air flow. Soaking until descaler penetrates is necessary before gentle cleaning.
Glass and mirrors here may be basic or aged, so we use gentle product that does not scratch when polished.
Bath and toilet may be simple ceramic, so we focus on removing the grey film of sediment and dust buildup.
Drains and ventilation here are often weak. We check the fan and outlet, and advise on improvements before we finish.
We open the room, take everything off the ledges and shelves, and lift loose hair from the drains before any water or chemical goes down.
Scale on glass, taps and the shower head is not scrubbed off cold.
The joints are treated and scrubbed along the line, top to bottom, because film sits in the porous grout and a flat wipe never enters it.
The bowl, the base joint and the floor trap are done as one stage, since this is where odour lives.
What the products loosened is lifted off, and everything is rinsed downward so nothing dirty settles back onto a cleaned surface.
The damp low corners are dried so nothing feeds mould again, then we walk the room with you.
Mixed district: shops at street level with homes above them
The district is mixed with shops below and homes above, so bathrooms are affected by moisture from the shop underneath and weak ventilation in the flat surrounded by others. Cleaning must address trapped humidity, not just visible surfaces.
Proper descalers, matched to each surface, are what move mineral off glass and out of grout.
We send a team, not a single person.
Where scale has already etched the glass or mould has stained the grout for good, we tell you at the inspection.
Nothing is called done until you have walked the room and said so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Mawaddah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
