We treat the incense, not mask it
Bakhoor residue is cleaned out of the seating and curtains and off the walls, so fresh oud is not sitting on months of old smoke.

Dhahban East is the eastern side of Dhahban, an old village on the Red Sea coast about twenty kilometres north of Jeddah, with scattered homes, open ground and coastal trees. Being directly on the sea means very high humidity and salt that enters from the air into every room. Curtains and cushions absorb salt and dampness quickly, glass and mirrors cloud from salt, and wooden furniture is exposed to rot. The majlis here needs continuous airing and specialist treatment for salt and humidity combined.
Fabrics and furniture here are affected by salt and humidity faster than any other place in Jeddah; wood softens from moisture within weeks. For the method itself, see the full majlis and diwaniya cleaning page.
Old seaside homes do not seal tightly, sea air enters directly carrying salt particles. Curtains and cushions absorb salt and dampness together. Fabrics become stiff and heavy.
Air saturated with sea moisture penetrates everything. Wood softens and warps, leather and fabric furniture develop green and black mould readily and quickly.
A layer of salt and dampness coats glass constantly. Frequent cleaning will not solve the problem if humidity does not fall.
Dhahban East is an old seaside village on the Red Sea coast, distant from the city, with scattered homes, open ground and air saturated with salt and moisture.
Ceilings and high corners collect humidity and salt from the moisture-laden air even though not directly exposed to the sea.
Surfaces and furniture lose shine from salt and heavy humidity, and wood becomes soft.
Glass and mirrors cloud from a layer of damp salt that sticks and returns constantly.
The majlis floor is wood or older flooring that is heavily affected by moisture.
The guest bathroom is very damp and walls may have mould in corners and on the ceiling.
Daytime and night-time airing are absolutely necessary; fans and dehumidifiers help more than window opening alone.
Seating, carpet, curtains and surfaces, before anything starts, so we agree the scope and what the price covers.
Majlis seating and curtains vary from cotton to velvet and heavy weaves, and they do not take the same heat or product.
Before any water, on the seating and the carpet both.
Gahwa, cardamom and food are not one problem.
We choose the method after seeing each piece, loosen what has bound into the seating and carpet, and extraction pulls it straight back out with the water, in one pass, so nothing is left soaking in the foam.
We go back through the room with you.

We test the fabric on a hidden spot before we clean it.
The company runs several teams, and we send a team rather than one person.
If the seating needs reupholstering rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is small enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Dhahban East is an old seaside village bounded by Dhahban Park on one side and Durrat Al Arus Resort nearby; location on King Abdulaziz Road identifies the approach to the scattered homes there.
We provide these in Dhahban East too, and more than one can share a single visit.
