We treat the incense, not mask it
Bakhoor residue is cleaned out of the seating and curtains and off the walls, so fresh oud is not sitting on months of old smoke.

Al Nuzlah East is a dense popular quarter in south Jeddah adjoining Al Nazlah Al Yamaniyah, with older apartment buildings on narrow streets and very high population density. Preparing a majlis here means handling very high density, crowded shared pipes, and odours that seep from dozens of flats surrounding the majlis on every side.
Flats are very old and majlis rooms are small with low ceilings. Floors are old ceramic or cement, and furniture is worn. Very high population density means smells from many neighbours. For the method itself, see how we approach majlis and diwaniya cleaning.
Al Nuzlah East is one of the most crowded neighbourhoods in Jeddah, and flats are built directly on top of each other. Tight blocks and enclosed lanes mean a neighbour's noise and odours and even domestic sounds drift into the majlis easily. Pipes and channels are shared and crowded, and water may leak from the flat above or below or next door.
The majlis is surrounded by dozens of flats and small shops on almost every side. A neighbour's cooking and cigarette smoke and perfume and even the smell of washed clothes drift in. Opening a window may bring smell from the neighbour opposite or above or below. Odours are a complex mixture that is hard to isolate.
Buildings in Al Nuzlah East were built 50 years ago or more, and foundations are weak and walls are damp inside. Brown stains on lower walls are almost permanent, and mould grows in corners and bathrooms. Paint is flaking and cement is cracked, and cleaning cannot repair this old construction.
An old dense popular neighbourhood with narrow streets and tight lanes, with Al Kawthar Mosque marking the area. Old Makkah Road bounds it to the north, and Madain Al Fahd and Al Quraiyat surround it. Moisture, mould and trapped smells are constant problems.
Low ceilings and corners boxed in by neighbours' walls, dust and mould build there.
Worn furniture may not tolerate hard scrubbing, so dusting needs great gentleness.
Windows are small and drapes are thick and old, mould may be on drapes on the inside.
Floors are old ceramic or cement with cracks, so excess water is very harmful.
The bathroom is very damp and mould is strong, so fans and ventilation are essential.
Ventilation is hard because flats are stacked and air does not move freely, so strong fresheners are critical.
Seating, carpet, curtains and surfaces, before anything starts, so we agree the scope and what the price covers.
Majlis seating and curtains vary from cotton to velvet and heavy weaves, and they do not take the same heat or product.
Before any water, on the seating and the carpet both.
Gahwa, cardamom and food are not one problem.
We choose the method after seeing each piece, loosen what has bound into the seating and carpet, and extraction pulls it straight back out with the water, in one pass, so nothing is left soaking in the foam.
We go back through the room with you.
Apartment district: residential blocks, repeated floors and shared entrances
A very dense apartment district means the majlis sits in an old simple block surrounded by dozens of other flats. Neighbours are literally on every side, and pipes, sounds and odours travel easily.

We test the fabric on a hidden spot before we clean it.
The company runs several teams, and we send a team rather than one person.
If the seating needs reupholstering rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is small enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
Al Nuzlah East sits at Old Makkah Road from the north and Al Kawthar Mosque marks the neighbourhood, with Basif Mosque and Madain Al Fahd Road nearby. Streets are tight and lanes are narrow, but we know the way and reach it easily via Al Kawthar Mosque.
We provide these in Al Nuzlah East too, and more than one can share a single visit.
