We treat the incense, not mask it
Bakhoor residue is cleaned out of the seating and curtains and off the walls, so fresh oud is not sitting on months of old smoke.

Al Falah is a newly developed district in north Jeddah beside King Abdullah Sports City, laid out with villas and apartments on a grid of orderly streets, and the coarse, dry desert dust enters homes easily under doors and around windows. The floors are marble or porcelain, and every villa has a small courtyard or garden plot, so sand finds its way inside with every footfall and settles visibly on the bright stone.
The dry coarse dust from the eastern desert edge settles on every surface before dawn, and sand from the garden scratches marble if swept away before the floor is properly mopped. For the method itself, see the full majlis and diwaniya cleaning page.
Al Falah sits on the edge of the desert, so the dry, coarse, pale dust works its way into homes easily. The marble and porcelain that new homes favour are easily scratched, and sand brought in on shoes will mark the surface if the floor is wiped before it is swept. Getting this right matters more here than in older districts.
Each villa has a small courtyard or garden plot, and sprinkler watering leaves white lime deposits on the outdoor flooring and the door sill. Water drifts under the doors and leaves white marks on the marble, and earth, dried grass and soil blow in on the wind.
Water from the roof storage tank leaves a grey sediment film on basins, toilet rims and bath tubs. This deposit is hard to shift and needs a specialist solution that does not damage the ceramic or the white metal fittings.
A new district in north Jeddah east of King Abdullah Sports City, bounded by Al Bashair to the north, Al Hamdaniyah and Al Salihiyah to the south and Al Rahmaniyah to the east, with villas, apartments and shops along main streets.
Ceilings in new homes are mostly clean, but fine desert dust settles on high corners and ventilation outlets. We wipe the ceiling with a soft cloth rather than a brush, to avoid disturbing particles into the air.
Modern furniture and sparse shelving make cleaning straightforward. Sand gets in easily, so simple dusting is enough if the floor is swept first and mopped afterwards.
Glass and mirrors in modern homes are large and numerous. Dry dust leaves a thin layer, but there is no salt or cooking grease like in the coastal areas or near commercial streets, so cleaning is straightforward.
Marble and porcelain in new villas are bright and smooth, but sand scratches them if the floor is mopped before sweeping. We sweep thoroughly first, then wipe with a soft cloth and warm water.
The modern bathroom is spacious and well ventilated, but roof tank sediment leaves a grey film on basins and bath tubs. We use a specialist solution to remove mineral scale without damaging the fixtures.
Ventilation in new homes is good, so we open windows and doors slightly before starting to let old dust drift out. Fresh air helps the floors dry quickly after mopping and leaves the room feeling refreshed.
Seating, carpet, curtains and surfaces, before anything starts, so we agree the scope and what the price covers.
Majlis seating and curtains vary from cotton to velvet and heavy weaves, and they do not take the same heat or product.
Before any water, on the seating and the carpet both.
Gahwa, cardamom and food are not one problem.
We choose the method after seeing each piece, loosen what has bound into the seating and carpet, and extraction pulls it straight back out with the water, in one pass, so nothing is left soaking in the foam.
We go back through the room with you.
Al Falah is set between King Abdullah Sports City on one side and Al Falah Park on the other, served by clear and orderly streets. We navigate to the villas on mapped roads laid out in a regular grid, and the park itself serves as a reference point for homes in the surrounding area.

We test the fabric on a hidden spot before we clean it.
The company runs several teams, and we send a team rather than one person.
If the seating needs reupholstering rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is small enough to actually keep: we do not leave until you have seen the result and told us what you think of it.
East Jeddah lies furthest from the sea and closest to the open ground and hills beyond the ring roads, so the air is drier and the dust is coarser and paler than on the coast. It comes in under doors and settles on every flat surface overnight, making sofas, mattresses and curtains the heaviest part of the routine. Floors are mostly ceramic tile in the apartment districts and marble in the villa areas, both scratched by grit that is mopped rather than swept. Roof tank water leaves a grey film of sediment in baths and basins.
We provide these in Al Falah too, and more than one can share a single visit.
