We test before we clean
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Petromin is a popular quarter in south Jeddah born from slum clearance and replanning, with simple houses and new apartment buildings on older ground. A new development district means active construction and empty plots sit between homes, and construction dust enters carpet constantly. Cleaning must be powerful enough to pull construction dust and heavy grit from deep in the fibres.
Carpets here face construction dust and heavy earth from vacant plots and unpaved roads between homes, requiring deeper cleaning cycles than fully developed districts. For the method itself, see our carpet and rug cleaning service in detail.
A new development zone means active building sites and ongoing projects. Construction dust is heavier than road dust, and cement and sand particles settle in the pile, weighing it down and darkening its colour. Strong vacuuming and wet extraction are essential to shift this mineral dust completely.
Open ground around the district means water collects easily after rain, and mud seeps into homes. Carpet may face excess moisture from damp floors, and drying after cleaning must be thorough to prevent damp lingering in the base.
Fast-build projects may mean foundations are not fully dry or ventilation is incomplete. Carpet on damp floors needs very careful drying to stop mould and musty smells, and extra fans during drying may be necessary.
The district lies in south Jeddah beside the Jeddah refinery, within the old quarantine area called Al Karantina, subject to the city's slum clearance and replanning scheme, and building work continues in some blocks as new housing rises.
Sorting Petromin carpets matters: new homes may hold modern carpet, older houses may have basic weaves, and each needs different handling for construction dust.
Deep dry vacuuming must be very powerful: construction dust is heavy and mineral particles grip the fibres hard.
Stains here are often construction dust, mud and mineral earth: they need strong vacuuming then wet extraction to remove completely.
The wet extraction method must be forceful: construction dust needs hot water to break it free from the fibres before suction removes it.
Fitted carpet in new homes is cleaned in place carefully: the foundation may be damp, so we avoid leaving excess water underneath.
Wet extraction and drying needs extra fans: open ground around the district means high humidity, so drying must be directed and forceful.
Wool, synthetic and silk-blends do not take the same heat or the same material.
Before any water.
An oil stain is not treated like a juice stain.
Hot water loosens what is bound in the pile and the extractor pulls it straight back out with the water, together, so nothing is left sitting in the base.
The borders and fringe are done by hand, where machines skip and where wear shows first, so the whole rug looks even.
The carpet is left slightly damp, not wet.
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.
The company runs a large workforce, and we send a team rather than one worker.
The deep vacuum and extraction machines are ours and arrive with the team.
If a rug needs repair or re-fringing rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think.
Petromin sits on Al Falah Road and around Al Nujoom Roundabout, and we reach homes from the main roads despite vacant plots and active construction. We know the safe passages and routes that avoid building zones, which lets us bring equipment in easily and start on time.
We provide these in Petromin too, and more than one can share a single visit.
