We test before we clean
Testing the material on a hidden spot is a step we treat as necessary, not optional.

Abhur North is a northern waterfront district mixing villas and beach resorts along the Obhur shoreline, where fine sand and salt enter with every footstep from private gardens and courtyards. The high humidity through the year keeps fibres damp longer than inland areas, and carpet here carries seaside burdens that urban districts do not face.
Fine sand from the courtyard reaches deep into the pile quickly, and sea salt leaves fibres dry and stiff long after washing if salt residues are not treated specifically. For the method itself, see how we approach carpet and rug cleaning.
Sea air leaves a faint salt film on glass and outdoor fabrics, and those salt crystals work their way down through the pile as people walk across the room daily, making fibres lose softness and turn rigid. Deep washing with hot water dissolves these salts, and wet extraction pulls out what remains in the base and middle of the pile.
Air thick with sea moisture from the bay slows carpet drying after wet extraction much more than inland districts, because the humidity is already saturated. We manage moisture levels with directed drying and continuous monitoring before we leave, so drying is not left to chance overnight.
Most villas here have a garden or courtyard plot, and fine sand sticks to sandals and shoes, carried indoors and deep into the carpet pile quickly. Deep dry vacuuming first pulls this sand out before any water touches the carpet.
The northern seafront on Obhur Bay with gardens and courtyards serving every villa, and sea breezes carry salt spray that deposits on fabrics and carpet throughout the year.
Coloured and light carpet in beachfront villas holds salt marks easily, so we sort by fibre type first to choose a safe approach before any water is used.
Fine sand from the shore reaches deep into the pile quickly, so deep dry vacuuming first pulls out most grains before water is brought in.
Salt and moisture stains need separate treatment with hot water and may need special agents to lift salt crystals embedded in the base.
Hot water washing and wet extraction is the only way to remove salt from the base and middle of the pile; synthetic fibres tolerate high heat well, but wool needs caution.
Fitted carpet in beachfront villas is cleaned in place with hot water, and needs directed drying afterwards because coastal humidity slows natural drying considerably.
Wet extraction after washing is essential; then we manage moisture levels with fans and ventilation until the carpet reaches complete dryness, or smell and salt residues will return.
Wool, synthetic and silk-blends do not take the same heat or the same material.
Before any water.
An oil stain is not treated like a juice stain.
Hot water loosens what is bound in the pile and the extractor pulls it straight back out with the water, together, so nothing is left sitting in the base.
The borders and fringe are done by hand, where machines skip and where wear shows first, so the whole rug looks even.
The carpet is left slightly damp, not wet.
Abhur North stretches from Sharm Obhur to North Obhur Beach, and the work is organised around Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Street that runs along the waterfront, making access straightforward to villas and resorts spread across the seafront.

The company runs a large workforce, and we send a team rather than one worker.
The deep vacuum and extraction machines are ours and arrive with the team.
If a rug needs repair or re-fringing rather than cleaning, we say so.

The commitment is simple enough to actually keep: we do not leave before you have seen the result and told us what you think.
North Jeddah is largely newer villa districts and compounds around Obhur and inland from it. Homes here tend to have marble or porcelain floors, large windows and a garden or courtyard, so the routine is set by what comes in from outside: fine sand carried on sandals, and sprinkler spray that dries to a chalky ring on tiles. Near the creek and the coast, sea air leaves a faint salt film on glass and on outdoor cushions, which stiffens fabric. Curtains and upholstery in these open plan rooms catch the dust that settles overnight.
We provide these in Abhur North too, and more than one can share a single visit.
